What You'll Do Inside:Â
With this FREE Starter Guide, you will:Â
→ Understand common causes to painful sex. This way you can be informed on what could be creating that pain for you to better understand your body and know how to begin addressing your symptoms. When we know the cause, we can better address the problem.Â
→ Be informed on the role of your pelvic floor so that you can understand and connect with a critical part of your body and it's role in sexual functioning and pelvic pain.Â
→ Test your knowledge on the vulva so that you know your parts. When we know our parts, we can better name concerns to providers, address issues appropriately, and advocate for ourselves. *
→ Practice breathing that helps lower your anxiety, tension, and pain. This is one of the most valuable tools you can learn. I guide you through checking how you breathe currently and then take you step by step of how to breathe in a way that promotes a regulated nervous system, increases blood flow for arousal, and releases pelvic tension. This can even help with bladder and bowel functioning, plus you can use it every day!Â
→ Start stretching the pelvic floor. Keep relaxing and releasing tension in the pelvic floor with my top stretch as a pelvic floor therapist to release pelvic pain. Options for adaptations included.Â
→ Set intentions. Painful sex often involves both mind and body. Do not underestimate the power of mindset. Create short-term and long-term intentions for yourself with actionable steps to set yourself up for success.Â
Â
*Language using term "vulva" is used, however gender neutral terms are provided for labeling parts.Â
